About Freedom Debt Relief

Who We Are

Freedom Debt Relief is a group about 500 employees strong and growing – known internally as “The Freedom Family”.  We’re energetic, smart & compassionate – but most importantly we’re all about helping our customers through a tough financial time in their lives. We were founded in 2002 by Stanford Business School graduates Andrew Housser and Bradford Stroh and since then we have built the best management team around. Freedom works out of two offices in San Mateo, CA and Phoenix, AZ. Our customers, 80,000 and growing, are spread widely across the United States.

What We Do

Our mission is to help people improve their financial well being. This might mean helping consumers resolve their debt or it might be conducting consultations, educating the consumer and recommending appropriate viable solution. Our core services offer an alternative to bankruptcy, credit counseling, and debt consolidation. We approach the business from the human perspective and work for the consumer exclusively (not the banks or other agendas) – we become your number one advocate helping you re-establish solid financial footing.

Responsible Leadership

Freedom Debt Relief is committed to elevating the standards of our industry and we place the appropriate emphasis on our responsibility for our valued customer base. We are on the founding and accredited members of the American Fair Credit Association (AFCC), the leading debt settlement and fair credit advocacy association in the nation.

We have over 80,000 clients and they’re hard working, honest people just like you. Our customers are the reason we come to work. They’re reason we strive for excellence every day. The reason we’re humble. The reason we employ and are responsible for the livelihood of 500 dedicated Freedom employees and their families.

- Most customers are between 30 and 65 years old

- Over half have incomes between $40,00 and $125,000

- About half are married

- One third have children at home

- All are striving to resolve their debt

Privacy Policy | Terms of Use. *Clients who make all their monthly program payments pay approximately 50% of their enrolled balance before fees, or 68% to 75% including fees, over 24 to 48 months. Not all clients are able to complete our program for various reasons, including their ability to save sufficient funds. Our estimates are based on prior results, which will vary depending on your specific circumstances. We do not guarantee that your debts will be resolved for a specific amount or percentage or within a specific period of time. We do not assume your debts, make monthly payments to creditors or provide tax, bankruptcy, accounting or legal advice or credit repair services. Our service is not available in all states and our fees may vary from state to state. Please contact a tax professional to discuss potential tax consequences of less than full balance debt resolution. Also explore debt relief alternatives such as debt consolidation, refinance, and credit counseling. Read and understand all program materials prior to enrollment. The use of debt settlement services will likely adversely affect your creditworthiness, may result in you being subject to collections or being sued by creditors or collectors and may increase the outstanding balances of your enrolled accounts due to the accrual of fees and interest. However, negotiated settlements we obtain on your behalf resolve the entire account, including all accrued fees and interest.
